Margun Waterfall

Margoon (Margun) Waterfall is considered as one of the most beautiful waterfalls in  Fars province of Iran. It is located near the city of Sepidan. The name Margun in Persian language means (“snake like”).
Margun Waterfall has a height of 70 meters with the width of 100 m. There is a village named Margun in Fars province where the waterfall is located. It is in the distance of 48 kilometers from Ardakan. Many travelers believe that Margoon is one of the largest and most magnificent and picturesque waterfalls in Iran. The area around Margoon village is mountainous and it is placed 2200 meters above the sea level. Weather varies in that region in different seasons of the year. For example, in winters, it’s really cold and the waterfall can sometimes end up freezing in particularly cold days. So, if you are planning to travel to Iran, You had better not choose winters. If you can easily drive to a distance of 800 meters from the waterfall. After that you have to walk on a paved road with concrete steps to arrive at the waterfall. It is highly recommended to travel to Iran to see this beautiful waterfall.
