Nasir Al-Mulk Mosque
Nasir al-Mulk mosque is a masterpiece among all the other magnificent tourist attractions of Shiraz. As everybody knows, Shiraz is one of the oldest cities in Iran and has a rich culture and historical background. In Nasit al-Mulk mosque you can see the combination of both culture and history as well as the artistic aspect of the city.
Because of its brilliant stained glass, the Persian carpets that have covered the floor and a lot of painted tiles on the ceiling, this holy place has turned into a colorful rainbow in every single direction.
The mosque has an open courtyard with a beautiful pool in the middle of the yard that has been encircled by incredibly beautiful flowers.
Nasir al-Mulk Mosque was built in a twelve-year old period during Qajar era between 1876 and 1888. The best time of the day to visit this outstanding Mosque is in the early morning when the stained glass patterns are reflected onto the floor. Even if you are the least religious person in the world, you might feel like your hands coming together in prayer naturally when you see the brilliance of this light. Perhaps the builders of this mosque wanted to show their “faith” through the morning light shining through this stained glass.
Iranhrc will definitely help you plan your trip and travel to Iran to see the beautiful city of Shiraz and its incredible Nasir al-Mulk Mosque.
