Khaju Bridge

Khaju Bridge is one of the oldest bridges of Isfahan province, Iran. This beautiful historical bridge has owned a worldwide reputation and lots of domestic and international tourists visit this historic site each year. Khaju Bridge was built over Zayanderood River on the east side of si-o-se Pol Bridge. As well as being a bridge and weir, this bridge functions as a building and a place for public meetings. Khaju Bridge which is considered as one of the finest bridges of Isfahan, was built by the order of Shah Abbas Safavi II, the Persian Safavid king in 1650. The bridge has been decorated with a lot of paintings and tile works that has given an artistic spirit to this historical bridge. It is representative of real Persian architecture. Missing the chance to visit this incredible place on your trip would be a real mistake!
