Persian Carpet

Oriental carpets weaving as an art form traced back to 5th century B.C in 1947.The Romans adorned their places with rugs both on the floor and on the walls. They were highly valued and were even used as payment for taxes. Perhaps the only thing that all real oriental rugs have in common is that they are woven by hand .The carpets come in variety of patterns and colors. The patterns are mostly rectangular or floral with pointed features. Pre-weaving process of mapping which causes whatever complexity, geometry, symmetry, and curvature that can later be seen in them. A basic factor in determining the quality of a carpet is knot density: the number of knots per square inch. More knots indicate more details. One of the most important and oldest city in carpet industry is Tabriz, which goes back to Safavi era. Most of Medallion and bergamot patterns were weaved in Tabriz (Persian Carpet). Salting Group is one of the common group in Tabriz which has the animal and Chinese winds patterns, symmetric knots is the most important feature of these carpets  .these patterns go back to the 16th century.
